Minnie

Jake's cousin Becca posted on IG that she was selling her puppies. I about died of cuteness!!

I told Jake I really wanted one and after a few days of begging, he agreed to go look at one. Becca had tons of interest in them and by that night, the only one left was this cute little black pup.

We didn't necessarily have a certain color we wanted, we just knew we wanted a girl. I told Jake only 1 was left, he agreed to go look at her that night and then Becca texted me to say all the puppies were gone and she was so sorry. I was SOOOO disappointed but understood and hoped Jake would let us go look at a puppy at the Humane Society. Turns out, he had taken the last puppy and surprised me with her!! I saw the surprise coming because of a few slip ups in his story but I was still surprised he went to all that work to get her for me!!

We went to PetSmart that night to get her all loaded up with stuff and Kaycee wanted her close to her all night. She even tried to share her chips.
We decided to name her Minnie (like Minnie Mouse) because Kaycee can say it easily! It fits her great, especially since she is so little! Here are some more pictures we've taken since we got her!

Full grown she'll be a little smaller than Max

She's VERY cuddly!!

Cuddling me after I got my ingrown toe nail removed.

We love Minnie and we're so glad she's in our family! She and Max are getting along great and she's doing so good with crate training and her potty training. Yay for having 2 dogs!!

Our weekend with Jack

About a month ago I decided things in our life were too ... mellow. We didn't have enough crazy going on so we needed to do something to make our lives more exciting. I started looking at houses and after Jake thoroughly refused to look into moving, decided maybe we should start trying to have baby #2. Jake nearly had a heart attack and insisted we weren't ready for that yet {and I agree - if we got pregnant then great but we aren't trying right now}. So then what can we do to make things more interesting?? I know - lets get another dog!!

I've been asking Jake for a second dog since we bought Max. I'm sure I've talked about it in the blog before but I don't know where. We always said we'd get another dog when we got our house. We bought our house, but then it turned into well first we need a fence. We got our fence, and then got pregnant so we decided a baby was better then a puppy. But now Kaycee is a little older so we decided to give it a try! We've both really been wanting to rescue a dog from a shelter so we drove up to Humane Society and looked at a few dogs one evening right before they closed. We found one we kind of liked but wanted to really think things through so we left without a dog. That night I realized maybe 2 dogs would be a bit overwhelming and then by the following weekend I had forgot all about how hard I thought it would be and wanted another dog again! We woke up, got Kaycee fed, loaded her and Max into the car, grabbed some breakfast on the road and headed up to Humane Society!

Kaycee holding onto Max's leash in the car
We had looked at a few online on our way up but decided we'd look and see what dogs "jumped" out at us once we got there. We left Max in the car so we could both walk through and look at all the dogs together {since we can't take Max back where the dogs kennels are} and had a few we liked but we didn't see the dog I'd seen online - a puggle. We asked where he was and they said he was at an adoption event in Draper. He was an adorable dog and I was sure he'd get adopted {he did!} so we decided to stay at Humane Society and find a dog there that needed a home. I asked Jake which of the dogs we had seen he wanted to introduce to Max first and he immediately said Jack, the german shepherd. I had shown Jake a picture of Jack on the way up and we both loved him and thought he was beautiful. Once we saw him in person, we were instantly in love.

We got him out and took him outside to meet Max and to get to know us a little better. We ended up outside with him for probably close to an hour in the kennels. He and Max were both off leash and we just let them sniff each other and they both did great. Max doesn't do the greatest with dogs at our house but at the Humane Society he is chill as could be. The shelter staff told us that's probably because he doesn't feel like it's "his" home so he doesn't care about other dogs being there - the big trick would be how they did at home. We both loved Jack and he seemed to like me and Kaycee but he truly loved Jake. He followed Jake EVERYWHERE in that little kennel. Where Jake was, Jack was.

We talked about it and decided we thought he'd be a great fit for us. We asked about his history and it said he was great with kids, other dogs, crate trained, potty trained and knew commands. Sounds like the perfect dog for us!! They said his intake reason was for "another animal in the home" so we took that as he must hate cats {another thing he has in common with Jake}. We filled out the paperwork, got him some toys, a collar and leash, deshedding brush and bowls and his own name tag for his collar and took him home.

We spent a few hours at home introducing Jack to his new home and slowly letting Max realize that Jack was staying at our house. We realized REAL fast that Jack was an aggressive drinker - he splashed water all over the kitchen. After he'd splash his bowl, he'd step in it and there were puppy prints all over the kitchen and the wood. Our floors looked horrible!! Jake and I figured we'd figure out a way to help him drink slower {maybe he was just dehydrated from the shelter??} and at some point in a few years maybe look into new floors if we needed to since they looked SOOOOO bad.

After playing for a bit, both dogs fell asleep in Kaycee's room while we were playing with her. I was shocked that Max was laying next to another dog in his house - he has NEVER EVER done that before.  When we have dogs come stay with us, he's constantly fighting and nipping and trying to be dominant. None of that - they were both just chill with each other. I felt so relieved and grateful they got along so well!!

We rearranged the furniture in the guest bed room to make it my office and moved the guest bedroom upstairs so that the dogs would be able to hang out with me while I work. We also put both of their crates in the office room and left them in their crates while we went to dinner and to see Jake's parents for a bit. When we got home, it was obvious that Jack had some separation anxiety - he had destroyed the plastic bottom tray for his crate and bent the front of his door pretty bad. Jake's pretty sure if he had been in there much longer he would have destroyed the crate and figured out a way to bust out. We aren't used to having a dog hate their crate so much - Max always has loved it once he's in it {getting him in there willingly is another story!} but we knew with any dog there would be some things we'd need to overcome and we'd help him see it's not so bad.

We put both of the dogs beds in our room and hoped and prayed we'd get some sleep. Max slept on the foot of the bed like usual and Jack slept on the floor right next to Jake. He woke Jake up twice nudging his elbow and whining and as soon as Jake took him out he immediately went potty! Heck yes for him communicating so fast he needs to go out! All in all things went well that night and we woke up excited for a full day with our new dog. Kaycee wasn't feeling good so we decided to stay home from church and that way we could introduce Jack slower to his crate and not have to stick him in there and leave him again so soon. He started doing great at going in there and staying with very little encouragement. Things were seriously looking perfect!

Teaching them to eat out of their own bowls and not eat the other's food
Then we decided to take a nap/relax in the living room.

Jack did so good with Kaycee - she touched his tail a few times while he was sleeping and he just moved his tail somewhere she couldn't reach it. Obviously we didn't leave him and her alone but they were getting along so well! Jack and Max, on the other hand, started not doing so well. Anytime Max would walk towards the couch Jack would growl. Jack was in front of us, almost like a barrier between us and Max and I think he was trying to tell Max to leave us alone. We would encourage both of them to be nice and tell them it was okay but Jake started verbalizing that he was worried. Jack was VERY into following Jake around and we were worried about Jake leaving for work the next day but I figured we'd be fine and we'd figure it out. I started having a worried feeling too but figured it was nothing and that everything would be okay.

Then Jake hit the nail on the head - he said he was having the same feeling he had on Wednesday night on our drive. And I realized that's exactly what I was feeling - it wasn't nervousness. I felt the same sick way I did while we were driving. I started getting really worried about that - I knew that feeling I had on Wednesday had been the spirit and that it was protecting us from something. Why were we having this feeling about Jack?

Answer came that night as we were putting Kaycee to bed. Jake was sitting in Kaycee's chair feeding her a bottle and Jack was laying in front of his feet {kind of like the picture below}. I was sitting against the wall and Max walked in with Jack's ball. He dropped in and started wiggling his tail and acting all excited about a game of fetch with a brand new toy he'd found. Jack growled, loud. We told them both to calm down and I picked the ball up to throw it out of the room for both dogs to chase - may the fastest dog win right? Yeah no. As soon as I picked it up and Max showed interest in retrieving it, Jack lunged at Max and all I remember is seeing Max in Jack's mouth. My little baby who was my first fur child was in the mouth of a 72 pound killing machine. I obviously wasn't thinking because the next thing I knew my hands were right next to Jack's mouth getting him to let go and scolding him. Thank heavens Jake was there and had Kaycee so that I knew she was safe. Max was crying hysterically but wasn't hurt, just scared and Jack kept growling at each cry. Jake put Kaycee down safely away from the chaos in her crib and incredibly firmly told Jack to get in his crate. Jack knew who was boss - he knew what "crate" meant and he knew right then he was in big trouble. He stuck his tail between his legs, went in his crate and laid down.

We had family prayer without Jack and put Kaycee down to bed and then walked out of Kaycee's room. Jake looked at me and said exactly what I was feeling but didn't want to think - we have to take him back. And I just fell apart. I'm not exaggerating in any way - Jake will confirm that. I bawled and bawled and bawled but I knew he was right. We couldn't have them fighting like that, especially since Jack was so much bigger and therefore so much more dangerous. And if Jake wasn't home and they fought, Kaycee is my number one person to protect and next time Max might not get away if I couldn't help him. We decided to tell our family right then so we wouldn't back out and would have people supporting us and then we went to bed. Jake slept on the couch so that he could be close to the dogs in their crates in case Jack started freaking out again and I bawled my eyes out in our bedroom.

Jake took a half day the next day so that we could take him back together in the morning since I knew I couldn't do it alone with Kaycee. Before we left, the dogs fought again while they were both outside to pee and that confirmed it - this wasn't going to work. We loaded Jack into the car and Kaycee just giggled and laughed at his huge self the entire way to Humane Society which made it harder.

Dropping him off was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I don't believe in leaving animals at shelters. You keep your pets for life. They are part of your family. All the time. No matter what. And here I was, eating my own words and taking a dog to the shelter. Humane Society had begged and pleaded when we adopted him that if it didn't work to bring him back - they want to be the ones to place him since a lot of people on KSL get dogs for free and do testing and crazy things to them.  The whole time I filled the paperwork out, he sat with Jake and Jack kept making little cries like "wait why am I here again?!" I bawled my eyes out as we said good bye and left him there. And I cried the whole way home.

And I cried the whole day.

And we only had him 36 hours! Ashley, pull it together girl!!

Jake kept trying to tell me to stop crying - we did the right thing and I knew we did the right thing. I knew he wasn't a good fit for our family right now. I just hated that we'd brought him home and made him feel safe and loved and then took him back to the place of crying sad dogs with cold concrete floors, where there is no toys or beds or cuddles. I'm grateful for shelters because they give dogs another chance rather then putting them down but oh my word they are sad places!

I haven't cried since the day we took him to the shelter almost a week ago. I have however checked the Humane Society website every single day multiple times a day to see if he is still listed. It took a few days before he was listed but he finally went up and yesterday {Saturday} he got adopted. I can't tell you how relieved I feel to know he has a home and is out of there. I feel lame in a way but I've been praying for Jack every single time I pray and he's a dog! I know that Heavenly Father doesn't care that he's a dog - he knows that Jack was important to our family and therefore it's okay to pray for him because it's someone we cared about.

Humane Society doesn't give your money back for the adoption but you get a credit to apply for a future adoption. We are going to wait on getting another dog. We realized that Max has a lot of behavioral issues we need to address - he needs some serious help with training. We also plan to socialize him with my family's dogs for long periods of time and see how he does before we bring another pet into our home and our hearts.

Jake and I both feel like right now isn't the right time for another dog. Not sure why that is - maybe Kaycee is allergic? Or maybe something is going to happen in our lives where having 2 dogs would be extra stress. Or maybe Max just can't handle 2 dogs. We don't know - we just know right now isn't the right time. That's hard for me, especially after going to the shelter and with Christmas coming - I want to give a dog a home for Christmas but I also need to do what's best for our family and for Max and right now that means having a 1 dog home.

I'm grateful Kaycee was so little and she didn't understand that they were fighting. She's a dog person just like her momma and I don't want her to be scared of them. I'm also grateful she didn't realize we had taken Jack back and was old enough to ask where he was. That would have made it even harder.

Jake and I have already decided and planned - next dog, after Max passes away, will be a german shepherd. We loved Jack SOO much. He was so smart, so easy to train in such a short time frame. He was obedient and loving and eager to please. We know that he would have been a great guard dog and protector for our family, we just can't have a dog attacking other dogs. I feel like we could have worked that aggression out of him had he been our only dog, but I don't know how long it would have taken to get it out and with Max living in the same house it just wasn't safe. Some day though, we will have a german shepherd!

Labor Day Weekend

Last weekend was Labor Day and it was VERY relaxing and awesome to have such a long weekend. Because I am working this Saturday for Faith, she switched me schedules so I got her usual day off, which is Tuesday, so I had a 4 day weekend! Like I said, it was VERY relaxing.

Friday after I got home from work, Jake & I spent some time together and then we called it a night early. I wasn't quite tired yet, so I took a nice long bath and finished reading "The Hunger Games" for the second time. I forgot how much I like these books! Last time I read them, I hauled through them and read them each in a day, the first two in one sitting each. I wanted to slow down this time and try to absorb more of them, so I made myself take about a week to read the first one. Finishing it while soaking in the tub was a nice way to start out my weekend!

Saturday was the first BYU game of the season. FINALLY!! BYU vs. Virginia. Kickoff was set for 1:30, so I spent some time in the morning finishing tidying the house. I started cleaning out Kaycee's room a few weeks ago and decided to get rid of a few things in there. We had an old coffee table that Faith came and got, and an old vacuum that we gave to my high school friend Kate. And we had this ADORABLE sign that my friend Cassie made me for Christmas in there, just waiting to be hung up. She made 3 sets for me, one that says "Family", one that says "Winter" and one that says "Wicked". Guess which seasons those last two are for. The "Family" one is for "off seasons" and I absolutely LOVE it. Just didn't ever get around to hanging it. Well, right before the game, Jake helped me hang it up! It looks awesome!!

Before
After! It looks SOO good!!
I also ran to the grocery store for some game day snacks right before kick off. I was introduced a few months ago to this AMAZING dip called Texas Caviar and Jake has been begging me to make it. During the 1st quarter, I finally made it and it turned out perfect - SOOO dang yummy!! After 1st quarter, there was a rain/lightning delay and they evacuated the stadium for safety reasons. Turned into a 2 ish hour delay. I took a nice nap while they showed other games on ESPNU, the channel the game was scheduled for. Finally, they started the game again!

Due to the delay, there was another game set to come on when the game "should" have ended, but because it was only the beginning of 3rd quarter, they moved our game to another channel and started showing this new game on ESPNU. They had announced that in Utah & Virginia, the game would stay on ESPNU. Well they lied. We lost the game and we were I was kinda freaking out, until we figured out the channel they moved it to was one that we had! Our neighbors, the Peterson's, have DirecTV and didn't have that channel, so we invited them to come watch the game with us. It was super fun having them over - they have 3 adorable boys, one of who{m} was in my nursery class. Bummer part was BYU lost, 19-16. We threw an interception in the last few minutes of the game and Virginia scored off of it. It was pretty sad, but there's another 11 games to watch this season so it's ok!

After the game was over, we drove up Provo Canyon to spend some time with Jake's family. It was nice and relaxing up there and we had a lot of fun sitting and talking about the fire with his parents and Aunt Sally & Uncle Chuck. Kaycee decided she didn't like the ride up the canyon though and I ended up throwing up as soon as we got there, and as soon as we got out of the canyon. She seriously does NOT like car rides!

Sunday we woke up and had a relaxed morning before church, since it doesn't start until 1. I was scheduled to teach Young Women's that day and although I knew what lesson I was teaching, I hadn't prepared my lesson yet. Fortunately, the lesson {on tithing} came together super fast and it worked out perfectly! I also had the chance to bear my testimony during Sacrament Meeting about our experience at the Temple and how grateful I am for the Holy Ghost. It was an amazing 3 hours of church.

After we were finished at church, we came home and changed our clothes, grabbed the Texas Caviar and headed back up the canyon. Dustin {Jake's older brother} and his new girlfriend Keeshia and her son Hunter were there too, so we got to spend some time with them, which was WAY fun! Mom made lasagna in the crock pot with salad and we had our Texas Caviar, which was a big hit. It was delicious. Afterwards, we roasted s'mores around the fire and just talked until Jake & I got tired and we headed back home.

Monday was a nice relaxing morning as well - I sure love relaxing mornings. And it was SOO nice getting to sleep with Jake, since he didn't have to go to work on Sunday night thanks to the Labor Day holiday. We just enjoyed spending time with each other and Max.

He sure seems to like his bed in the living room a lot more lately! He lays in there with his rawhide anytime we are in the same room as him
Later in the afternoon, our friends Andrew & Keeshia asked if we wanted to go golfing. Of course we said yes! They brought their little boy Robby, who is HORRIBLE birth control. I swear he is a big reason we started trying to get pregnant when we did. Andrew also had two of his brothers and their wives come too - John & Camrie {who are due anyday} and Charles & Bonnie with their little boy Joel. It was SUPER fun, since the guys golfed and the girls just talked in the golf carts. Keeshia is expecting too, she's 3 weeks behind me and we are all pretty sure it's a girl. Which would be AWESOME because I'm sure she and Kaycee will be best friends. We played the front 9 at the Ranches Golf Course. Although we have lived on the course for 2 years, it was the first time I got to ride around the course on a cart. SO much fun - can't wait to do it again!

The guys at the last hole
Robby wanted to play too - it was adorable. To make sure he didn't get hit, Jake picked him up and was talking to him for a few minutes. Made this girl's heart MELT - he's gonna be SUCH a good dad!
Finishing off their last hole
Love this guy
We all went to dinner together at La Fuente in American Fork, next to Denny's. It was really good - I highly recommend it! After we left the restaurant, Jake mentioned 3 times in less than 5 minutes how much he liked it. Apparently we'll be going back there!

After we got home from golfing, Jake needed to get some sleep for work and I didn't want to keep him up, so I took another bath. And read all of the second Hunger Games book "Catching Fire". Was up until 3 in the morning but I finished it. This is why I wanted to slow down on those books haha - I read them WAY too fast!

Tuesday I spent most of the morning in bed, since I was up so late, and then gave Max a hair cut. That turned out WAY too short. He looks like a little naked rat haha. But it's hair, it'll grow back thankfully. I was in charge of mutual activity that night, combined with the Young Men. We played water volleyball! I had a hard time finding water balloons and just ended up buying normal balloons, but they worked out perfect. It was super fun! Afterwards we had chocolate popsicles and then the kids played normal volleyball. It was really fun!

And that wraps up our awesome Labor Day weekend! It was a really fun one - and a good kickoff for September. This month is going to be AWESOME, thanks to a couple trips, painting Kaycee's room - stuff like that. And it's FALL! And football is here! It really will be an awesome month!!

This week in pictures

Even though it's only been 4 days since I blogged last, I feel like I am WAY behind! Guess it shows just how addicted I am to this whole blogging thing haha!

This week has been fairly uneventful as far as activities deserving of their own post but there's been enough little things that I just decided to post a big post about all of it. Therefore, prepare for lots of pictures!

Last Saturday, Jake went to his parents house for a few hours to work on the truck. It has been making a squeaky noise and he thinks he figured out how to fix it - for like $45! I have an awesome mechanic for a hubby. While he was gone, I cleaned the house. Considering it was only a few hours, I got a TON done and was VERY proud of how clean the house looked after just a few hours. And we've been able to maintain that and keep the house looking clean all week, which is AWESOME! After Jake got home, I decided we should do something "productive" towards Kaycee's room, so we moved everything out of the office and moved the guest bedroom out of Kaycee's room and into the old office. It looks awesome!

I didn't think to take pictures until after we were all done, but if you want to see what the office & guest bedroom used to look like, there are pictures in this post.

Guest bed with nightstand
Rocking chair and one of the bookshelves
Other bookshelf
It turned out AWESOME - it's really weird walking in that room and having a bed in there though. We've had that room set up as the office since the day we moved into the house and have never changed the furniture or rearranged it, so having it be totally different is, well, different, but we like it! It's nice having a guest bed in case my dad or my sisters come stay with us.

Jake's mom got us a gift when we got sealed that didn't come in the mail until last Saturday, so Jake brought it home after he was done working on the truck. It's a porcelain miniature of the Manti Temple!! I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THEY MADE THOSE!!!

It's GORGEOUS!
Next to the Salt Lake Temple mini I got from Charlotte when I got endowed on our front table. Looks AWESOME!
We spent the rest of the night relaxing and watched the movie "Oblivion" with Tom Cruise & Morgan Freeman while we ate Pizza Hut. Nutritious, no. Fun, yes. That movie is AWESOME. I really like movies that make me think, like Skeleton Key {only scary movie I like}, Prestige or Inception. This movie definitely will make you think. Problem is, my brain sure doesn't work right at the moment, so Jake had to keep pausing the movie to explain it to me. Usually it's the other way around haha! It was a REALLY good movie though - I highly recommend it.

Puppy relaxing on the floor while we watched the movie. We moved his crate into our room, so his bed got moved into the living room and he has actually been laying in it. Good puppy :)
For Young Women's this week, we had a talent show. Ok, so I feel like I have some talents. Like blogging. Talking about every little moment of my life in my blog, and wanting to write about it, and looking forward to it, is a talent I think. Especially since I SUCKED at journal writing up until I discovered this whole blog thing. And I like to cook. I do have talents. Just not necessarily performing talents, like singing or dancing or playing an instrument. So for our talent show, we decided that the girls could bring something they have done at home, like a drawing or something they have sewn. Tiffany Barth brought pictures of hiking trips she has done - that's TOTALLY a talent. For my talent, I decided to bake some cookies. Because I do NOT bake. I used to, like when I was 14, but I don't anymore. I ALWAYS buy stuff at Smith's in the bakery if I am asked to bring a dessert. And I want to change that. It also counted as something towards my Personal Progress & earning my medallion. Boom!

I found the recipe on Pinterest. SUPER easy. Not that chocolate chip cookies are all that hard. But it went really well. Didn't burn the cookies or anything! And I was able to keep my kitchen clean in the process, since I had worked so hard over the weekend to deep clean it! AND THEN I made dinner afterwards. I felt VERY domesticated haha.

First batch coming out of the oven
Both batches cooling on my ghetto cooling trays - just upside down pans. I should invest in some wire cooling racks now that I am baking more!
Jake tried a cookie before I took them to Young Women's and said they were really good. I grilled him about it to make sure he wasn't just being nice so I wouldn't be embarrassed by gross cookies and he said something about how making cookies from store bought dough isn't that hard. I was SO proud to tell him I made them from scratch. He didn't believe me at first - I had to tell him what the ingredients were. He was SUPER impressed I made these all by myself! And the Young Women loved them too - I only had 1 cookie left. Jake was happy to eat it :)

Puppy has been very good this week. He's been evenly more cuddly. It just melts my heart haha. I love my little Max!

Cuddling with Jake while I was getting ready for work
Wanting a belly rub - too bad he was so far away haha
Looking out the window on top of his crate. I think he was super confused about why the window was "crackling" since I just put tinfoil up in the windows to help it be dark while Jake sleeps
Cuddling me & Kaycee last night while we watched the Utah vs Utah State game
And last but not least, I have been craving fruit a bit more. I brought a smoothie to work on Monday and it was really good, but I am trying to watch how much sugar I have, especially in the morning, and there was a lot of orange juice in it. I went to the store after work that day and got some fruit at the store. Cantaloupe and bananas to be exact. Jake cut up both cantaloupes for us - he is so awesome. We ate an entire cantaloupe in less than a day, and the other one we are trying to slowly eat. I had some for dessert last night - it was delicious!

And I found out that cantaloupe is super good for Kaycee too. I think it's awesome that I am craving it, when it's something so highly recommended for her. Way to go body! Keep cravin' the good stuff!

My First Born

So I mentioned a few posts ago that I started crying at how much I love my Max the other day. And oh is it true. He has been sleeping with me EVERY night. I get him out as soon as I get home from work around 2:15 and spend the whole rest of the day and night with him until it's time for me to go to work at 9. So basically there are about 5 hours that I am away from him. I am getting even more attached the more pregnant I get!

I think he knows I am pregnant. I don't know if he knows what pregnant means, or that a baby is coming, but I think he knows something is different. And I think he knows that difference involves my tummy. He is VERY cuddly around my stomach, and just nuzzles right up next to it. He also likes to step on "her" a lot and walk across my stomach. I can't WAIT until she kicks him back haha. Overall though, the last few weeks, he has been INCREDIBLY snugly. I absolutely love it.

And I have a feeling that Miss Kaycee is going to love him just as much as I do. If not more. He is a playmate that is her size. One of the MANY reasons I love my little dog. I just hope he doesn't love her TOO much more than he loves me or I might get jealous haha.

Snuggling last night on my bed
The night before last, laying on the mountain of pillows I use for helping my hip pain
Last weekend he got VERY tuckered out while watching me clean the house haha. He fell asleep in our hallway and couldn't get up to come back in the bedroom.
Watching out the front window for me to come home - looks VERY comfortable haha
Snuggling in his bed. He NEVER lays in this bed haha. He only does if he is trying to get a treat. He must have been VERY tired to lay underneath his blanket haha.
Sun bathing outside. He LOVES the sun, but then comes in and his body is SOO hot and he drinks TONS of water. I don't think he realizes the sun makes him hot!
His go to pose when he wants a belly rub!
I love my first born, even if he is a puppy. I am so grateful Jake let us get him. I am so grateful that he is so well house trained. I love his kisses, especially after a long day or first thing in the morning when I wake up alone before Jake gets home from work. I love how happy he is to see me. I love how fast his tail wags when I look at him - I don't even have to talk and his tail just wags and wags. I love that I know my puppy loves me. I don't know how good of a practice child he has been, since he is such a good dog, but I love him just the same. I can't wait to see him interact with Kaycee. A few weeks ago we brought him to my parents house and my step brother Matt's little boy Keaton was there {he's not quite a year} and Max sniffed him and then lost interest. I was SOO excited - I thought he would lick him and jump on him and scare him. He just sniffed him and oh cool and went back to what he was doing. It's a big relief knowing that he might realize it isn't ok to jump on little people. I sure love you Max!
