A primary song...

So as I was sitting in bed, about to put my scriptures away, I noticed a highlighted verse in my scriptures (3 Nephi 4:4) and it reminded me all over again that the Church is true! Dave Ramsey, my financial icon, talks a lot about having an "emergency fund" and that is one of my 15 goals I want to accomplish. This verse in the Book of Mormon was written 2000 years ago, way before Dave Ramsey! And this is just one example of how the Lord has taught us things through scripture that the world took a long time to figure out! So then I was thinking I'd love to share this verse with Dave Ramsey, who is Christian but not LDS and I was imagining how I would write my email to him and the words of a primary song came to mind. Primary songs are so great for people not in primary. They make the Gospel so easy to understand and sum up. Anyway, this is the song that came to mind:

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
I know who I am, I know God's plan - I'll follow Him in faith.
I believe in the Savior, Jesus Christ - I'll honor his name.
I'll do what is right, I'll follow His light. His truth I will proclaim.

And THAT made me start thinking about how I am going to the temple on Monday!!! Only 4 more days!!!!! Wendy (my mom in law) took me to buy my temple clothes 2 days ago and I keep doing a happy dance every time I think about how far I've come and that I get to go to the temple on Monday!!!!' YAY!!!!!!!
